Privacy Policy

Account information: name, email, phone number, password (stored as a one-way hash, never in plain text), and — for Drivers — vehicle type and license plate.

Delivery information: pickup and drop-off addresses and coordinates, delivery status, and a Driver's live location while a delivery is in progress.

Background check status: for Drivers, whether a check is not started, pending, clear, or flagged for review. The underlying report — including SSN, date of birth, and criminal/driving records — is collected and held by our screening provider, not by us.

Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We store the amount and status of each transaction, never full card or bank account numbers.

To operate the marketplace: matching Shippers with Drivers, processing payments and payouts, running background checks where required, showing live tracking during a delivery, and communicating with you about your account or a delivery in progress.

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Serious Load:

• Stripe — payment processing and driver payouts
• Our background-check provider — driver screening, where enabled
• Our database and hosting providers — storing and serving the app
• OpenStreetMap — map display and road-network routing (no account data sent, just coordinates for the route being viewed)

We do not sell personal data to third parties.

We keep account and delivery data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after that to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time (see below).

You can update your account information at any time, and can request that we delete your account and associated data by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law (for example, payment records for tax purposes).

Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. API keys are shown once at creation and stored as hashes afterward. Payment and background-check data never touch our servers directly — they're handled by Stripe and our screening provider respectively.

Serious Load is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
